Due to the influence of spatial heterogeneity, the relationship between financial development and technological innovation efficiency is difficult to explain with the assumption of traditional spatial homogeneity. To this end, this paper studies the provincial panel data from 2005 to 2016. Firstly, the DSBM model is used to measure the efficiency of interprovincial technological innovation. Based on this, the spatial Dubin model is used to test the spatial spillover effect. The research shows that the technological innovation efficiency of the eastern region, the central region and the western region is decreasing in turn and the potential for technological innovation efficiency is great. The overall financial development scale has no significant effect on the technological innovation efficiency of the region itself and its neighboring regions. Financial development Efficiency has a positive impact on the improvement of its own energy efficiency, but its impact on neighboring regions is not significant, or even negative. This also explains that the geographical distribution of financial development and technological innovation efficiency is unbalanced.
