Abstract:Based on the connotation of digital economy theory, this paper constructs the evaluation index system of China''s provincial digital economy development, measures it by principal component analysis, reveals the distribution dynamics, regional differences and sources of digital economy development by kernel density estimation, Dagum Gini coefficient and decomposition method, and tests the development trend of digital economy by coefficient of variation and spatial panel model σ Convergence and β Convergence characteristics. The results show that: from 2011 to 2018, the overall development level of China''s regional digital economy has improved steadily; There are significant differences in the development of digital economy among the four regions, and the regional differences are the main source of the overall regional differences; The spatial distribution is non-equilibrium and gradual evolution, and the characteristics of spatial agglomeration are obvious; Except for the northeast, there is no obvious difference in the development of digital economy in China and other regions σ Convergence; The development of China''s digital economy has obvious trends of absolute β convergence and conditional β convergence, and the western and northeastern regions with low development levels have high convergence speeds; The convergence of regional digital economic development and economic growth is similar, but the convergence speed is not synchronize.
