Abstract:Based on the number of low-carbon patent applications in each province from 2004 to 2017, the Gini coefficient, Theil index and logarithmic dispersion mean are used to measure the regional differences of low-carbon innovation, and the spatial convergence of low-carbon innovation is analyzed based on the spatial convergence model. The results show that China's low-carbon innovation shows a trend of increasing and regional differences are significant, and the difference of low-carbon innovation gradually decreases from west to middle to East. There is no α convergence and β convergence in low-carbon innovation in China, the East, the middle and the West. The convergence rate is higher in the West than in the middle and the East. With the adjustment of government policies, economic development, opening-up and industrial structure, low-carbon innovation in different regions will converge to a stable level.
