Although the refractories for glass melting furnace in China have made great advances with the development of the glass industry, the condi tions like a large quantity of companies are with small enterprise scale and weak power still exist in the refractory industry in our country nowadays, which limit its development, and which become the main cause of hindering its contribution to the glass industry. This article proposes that refractory industry should he enlarged and strengthened to meet the needs of adaptation to the improvement of glass industry and opening more international markets. The whole concept of this aim includes that the company with powerful integration of technology, industry and economy should be established, and refractory industry can develop faster by inputting more techniques, by building up close cooperating relationship among designing, producing and applying, and by applying new methods and new technology.
