Based on the characteristics of multiple hierarchy in the process of bidding evaluation for petroleum engineering, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is introduced to bidding evaluation for petroleum engineering. A case study is illustrated to show the application in petroleun drilling engineering. Compared with current 2-stage bidding evaluation, AHP eliminates the effects from private opinions. Also, AHP is easy to apply and draw more comprehensive conclusion, which proves that AHP is a practical method for petroleum engineering.
