Life-long education is the summary of one's culture,education and training in his whole life. After the theorization of life-long education in 1960s, it has become a revolutionary trend in international education field. Self-study examination of high education is an indispensable part of Chinese education system, being the best embodiment of life-long education thought. Life-long education also has important influence upon the system of self-study examination of high education. But with the development of life-long education, self-study examination of high education shows some aspects that don't accustom real situation. The paper presents some suggestions to reform the system of self-study examination of high education.
