Improving the international competitiveness of agricultural products helps farmers raise their income level； therefore， it is an important component of the construction of the new rural areas. The paper explores the overall situation of the international competitiveness of agricultural products in Fujian. Based on the analysis of the factors affecting the competitiveness， the paper puts forward policy implications and suggestions focusing on agricultural structural adjustment to make contribution to the construction of new rural areas in Fujian.
