Abstract:This paper examines the effect of economic development, consumers' insurance consciousness ,risk level, non-life insurance price and the supplying factor of non-life insurance market on non-life insurance demand using relative data from 1985 to 2005.The conclusion illustrates economic development, consumer's insurance consciousness ,risk level have significant effect on non-life insurance demand ,but non-life insurance price and the supplying factor of non-life-insurance market have insignificant effect on non-life insurance demand. This paper provides further discumssion on the above conclusion.
