Based on the perspective of interactivity theory, this paper builds a relationship model of the trust relationship among project stakeholders, quality of information sharing, and the virtual collaboration effectiveness under BIM application, and considers two forms of trust relationship: trust in the partner and our feeling trusted. Through the statistical analysis of the survey data of 331 construction enterprises, the results show that: trust in the partner and our feeling trusted significantly positively affects the virtual collaboration effectiveness; quality of information sharing based on BIM Technology has mediation effect between trust relationship and virtual collaboration effectiveness, and find that the mediating effect of quality of information sharing between trust in the partner and virtual collaboration effectiveness is slightly stronger than its mediating effect between our feeling trusted and virtual collaboration effectiveness. The research conclusions provide a reference for the virtual collaboration between construction enterprises, and better formulate BIM application strategies.
