Abstract:For survival and development, digital platform enterprises require a large amount of capital. However, the impact of organizational identity on the financial resources acquisition of digital platform enterprises has not been studied thoroughly. First,61 Chinese digital platform enterprises with initial public offerings in the United States were selected as samples. Then, the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) was used to explore the combined effect between organizational domain identity and role identity on financial resources acquisition. The result shows that four different configurations can trigger digital platform enterprises to obtain higher financial resources. Specifically, it can be summarized into two modes: dual organization domain established-leader identity and multi organization domain aspiring-leader identity. Among them, digital-technology-oriented and non-potential contender are their common core conditions. Combining with the existing theoretical interpretation and typical case analysis, three propositions are proposed. they provide theoretical support for the digital platform enterprises to obtain financial resources and help the development of digital economy and platform economy.
