Abstract:International innovation is an inevitable way for Chinese multinational enterprises to achieve the rise of the global value chain. Existing studies mostly discuss how to promote international innovation from the enterprise level, but lack of direct research on the psychology of international innovation promoters. In fact, enterprises are facing great challenges in the process of international innovation, not only to adapt to the complex and changeable international innovation environment, but also to cope with the risk of international R & D failure. Therefore, the strong psychological resilience of corporate executives is the key psychological resource for enterprises to successfully implement international innovation.This paper integrates the resource-base view and upper echelons theory, and studies the impact of managerial resilience on international innovation. The data of listed companies in China ''s electronic information industry from 2012 to 2019 are selected for empirical analysis. The results show that : ( 1 ) Managerial resilience has a positive effect on promoting international innovation ; ( 2 ) The internationalization experience of returnee executives and the innovation agglomeration effect of supply chain concentration positively moderate the impact of managerial resilience on international innovation of enterprises ; ( 3 ) Further research finds that the external event of Sino-US trade frictions has amplified the impact of managerial resilience on international innovation. The research conclusion reveals the psychological resource factors that promote international innovation of multinational enterprises at the micro level, and provides practical suggestions for Chinese enterprises to promote international innovation in human resource management.
