Abstract:Based on the data in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2011 to 2020, this paper constructs comprehensive indicators of high-quality green development (HGD), and green technology innovation (GTI), and uses the SBM-DEA model of undesired output and the global principal component-entropy weight method to measure the comprehensive indicators. The interaction and coordination between GTI and HGD were investigated by using the coupling coordination model, and the long-term equilibrium and short-term dynamic relationship between GTI and HGD were systematically investigated by using the co-integration test, Granger test and PVAR model. The results show that:(1)From 2011 to 2020, the coupling coordination degree between GTI and HGD in provinces and cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt has been rising steadily, and the overall level has changed from primary coordination to high-quality coordination, indicating that there is a strong interaction level and a high coordination relationship between GTI and HGD.(2)There is a long-term equilibrium relationship between GTI and HGD, which is reflected in mutual promotion. In the short term, there is an obvious two-way promoting relationship between GTI and HGD. High-quality green development can guide the improvement of GTI, and the positive impact of GTI on high-quality green development has a lagging effect. (3)The efficiency decomposition is used to obtain the technical efficiency and technological progress index. Compared with technology efficiency, technology progress is more able to promote high-quality green development and affect the dynamic response between GTI and HGD.
