Abstract:Under the framework of RCEP cooperation, OFDI of Chinese enterprises and their technological benefits will have a profound impact on subsequent technological innovation and cooperation among member states. Based on the panel data of listed companies, the "entropy weight method (EWM)" is applied to measure technological benefits, and the characteristics of enterprises, environment, host countries and OFDI are combined to study the realization of technological benefits of Chinese enterprises'' direct investment in RCEP countries. The results show that direct investment in RCEP countries can significantly promote the realization of technological benefits; the improvement of management efficiency strengthens the ability to realize technological benefits, and the high level of intellectual property protection strengthens the motivation for realizing technological benefits. Further analysis shows that state-owned enterprises can realize more technological benefits, while private enterprises can improve the realization level of technological benefits by improving management efficiency and intellectual property protection level; the higher the OFDI level of the enterprise and the higher the level of intellectual property protection of the host country, the better the realization effect of technological benefits; enterprises investing in RCEP countries will gain more technological benefits than those investing in "Belt and Road" countries.
